ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized electric power steering device which reduces the output rotation of an electric motor by a pulley belt mechanism, obtains a high reduction ratio, and has excellent mountability on a vehicle and durability. SOLUTION: An inscribed gear 39 integrally rotating with an output shaft of the electric motor is inscribed in an internal gear 40. An input pulley 41 is provided on the outer periphery of the internal gear 40. A reduction ratio is gained by speed reduction with the inscribed gear 39 and the internal gear 40, and the high reduction ratio is attained as the whole of a reduction mechanism 17 without miniaturizing the input pulley 41 too much. The life of a belt 43 is extended without decreasing the curvature radius of the area of the belt 43 wound around the input pulley 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
