PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable persons in remote places from each other to communicate by moving a communication robot anytime and anywhere. SOLUTION: The communication robot is remote-controlled by a control device and movable by a travelling part 1. The person facing the communication robot is photographed by a camera 32, its voice is picked up by a microphone 33 and these pieces of information is transmitted and output from the control device. An image of an operator of the control device is displayed on a liquid crystal display screen 7 of a head part 4, and a voice of the operator is output from a speaker 34.
