METHOD FOR DETERMINING SOIL CONDITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining soil condition for rapidly and accurately determining the degree of progress of soil improvement.

SOLUTION: A determined soil image is picked up by an image pickup means 2. The picked-up image is outputted to an image processing apparatus 1. The distribution of intensity values in a reference image comprising a picked-up image of reference soil is stored in an image processing part 12 of the image processing apparatus 1. The image processing part 12 finds a distribution of intensity values in the determined soil image. A comparison and determination part 13 compares the distribution of the intensity values of the reference image with the distribution of the intensity values of the determined image and determines the soil in the determined image, based on this result.
