<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having a filter device 1 for allowing automatic cleaning by one motor. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with the filter device for arranging a winding shaft 6 and a winding driving motor for winding an air filter 3 in one side, and a support shaft of the air filter and a return spring in the other, and composed of the belt-like air filter wound on the winding shaft, a frame for introducing the air filter to the support shaft from the winding shaft, and a dust and dirt removing means.
