<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a waveform used for doubling the ambiguity distance of a FSK radar without doubling the duration T of the pattern transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: This method used for increasing the ambiguity distance of the FSK radar realizes a waveform composed of a pattern consisting of a frequency horizontal region. The frequency is alternately shifted by plusΔf' value or minusΔf'value. The method correlates the waveform with a processing operator, and removes an ambiguity echo and an image signal. The method has an advantage in which the repetition cycle of the radar applied is not changed.
