PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera without any fear such as damaging on a casing of the camera by a barrier by enabling stable slide operation regardless of a rate of the length of an engaging part of a guide to the length of a slide direction of the barrier. SOLUTION: In the camera 1, the barrier 5 for opening and closing the front of a photographing lens is arranged on the front of a front cover 2. The barrier 5 is slidably supported by upper and lower grooves 2b, 2c to the front cover 2. In addition, window members 8 providing a finder window, a strobe flashing window and the like are arranged at a left upward position of a lens barrel of the front cover 2. Building-up projections on which a contact slide face 5d of the barrier 5 can contact along the lower part on are provided on the window members 8. Even when the barrier 5 is pushed to the inside by external force and tried to be deformed, a surface part of the front cover 2 is protected and damage of the front cover is prevented since a contact slide face 5d of the inside of the barrier 5 contacts on the building-up projection, and further smooth slide operation of the barrier 5 is enabled.
