PAN HEAD SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pan head system that performs a preset shot function for reproducing a previously stored shot positions and prevents unnecessary operations by rotating a pan head in a direction wherein the amount of rotation is smaller when the pan head is rotated to a panning position previously stored by shot reproduction. SOLUTION: When a tripod head controller 12 indicates shot position reproduction, a CPU 60 of the pan head 10 finds a rotating direction wherein the amount of rotation is smaller between clockwise and counterclockwise directions according to the difference between a current panning position and a preset target panning position. Then the pan head 10 is rotated in the direction wherein the amount of rotation is smaller to set the pan head at the target panning position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
