PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a plurality of images which differ in a frame format on a non-square array type display screen at the same time without performing frame form conversion. SOLUTION: Array conversion is carried out to convert square arrays of a plurality of input images D61 and D62 which have square pixel arrays and differ in frame form from each other to cell arrays of a non-square array type display screen 90 and then composition processing is carried out to generate an image to be displayed on the display screen by combining a plurality of images D71 and D72 obtained through the array conversion.
