摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of being manufactured by sticking an element substrate and a substrate opposite thereto to each other by a chip mount method highly precisely in a high productivity, and to provide a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device in which respective inside surfaces of the element substrate and the substrate opposite thereto are placed opposite to each other via a sealant and a liquid crystal is disposed in the inside space, an ultraviolet curing type /thermosetting type combined sealant is used as as the sealant, The method comprises; a sealant forming process to form the sealant on the substrate opposite to the element substrate; and a fixing step to mount the substrate opposite to the element substrate on a mother substrate with a plurality of the element substrates constructed thereon and fix the element substrate and the substrate opposite thereto mutually with the sealant.
