PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image forming unit with which the whole case can be compactly configured at a low cost, and which is excellent handling property. SOLUTION: The radiation image forming unit 10 is provided with an accumulative phosphor sheet 12 and a case 14. The accumulative fluorescent body sheet 12 is provided with a frame member 18 covering the four sides of the phosphor layer 16, while an opening part 44 is formed in one of the sides of the case 14. and the end face 34a of the frame member 18 forms the case end face of the case 14 by arranging the frame part 18 in this opening part 44.
