PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential transformer type rotation sensor capable of detecting the angle of rotation over a wide range, and of increasing its output voltage, without lowering the detection precision. SOLUTION: Along with forming the peripheral part of a core 1 which divides it equally into two, a magnetic flux transmission section 1a and a magnetic flux cut-off section 1b, each inner circumference part of a first and a second external yokes 5, 8 and a first and a second internal yokes 6, 9 is formed by dividing it equally into two, a magnetic flux transmission section 5a, 8a, 6a, 9a and a magnetic flux cut-off section 5b, 8b, 6b, 9b.
