HEAT LOAD RELAXATION SYSTEM OF REACTOR VESSEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a nuclear reactor and to improve the economy of a plant by relaxing a heat load itself of a cause of generating a stress without imparting a significant influence to a building cost. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for relaxing the heat load of a reactor vessel near the liquid level of a cooling material, a heat conduction member is installed in a range over the upper and lower surfaces of the cooling material without contact with the wall of the reactor vessel (1). As the heat conduction member, a guard vessel (2) made of a good heat conductive material or a heat conductive plate (20) made of a good heat conductive material is installed.
