PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic polyester-based flame-retardant resin having a good balance in performances of strength, rigidity, heat resistance, and impact resistance which are characteristics inherent in a thermoplastic polyester resin, having excellent fluidity and flame retardancy, and capable of preventing drops from being formed by a flame, when burnt, and to provide a molded product molded by using the same. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic polyester-based flame-retardant resin composition contains the thermoplastic polyester resin (A) in an amount of 100 pts.wt., a bromine-containing aromatic compound (B) in an amount of 3-50 pts.wt., an antimony oxide compound (C) in an amount of 2-30 pts.wt., a polytetrafluoroethylene having fibril-forming ability (D) in an amount of 0.1-3 pts.wt., and a lamellar filler (E) in an amount of 0.7-8 pts.wt.
