PURPOSE: Provided are spherical barium titanate hydroxide particles of narrow size distribution by alkoxide method, which have monodispersity, high purity and ultrafine size less than 1micrometer. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method comprises the steps of: preparing an octanol solution by dissolving 0.03-0.25mol/L of (Ba, Ti) composite alkoxide into 45-65vol.% of octanol, and preferably heating at 50deg.C to increase solubility of (Ba, Ti) composite alkoxide; adding 25-45vol.% of methyl ethyl ketone after heating each alkoxide solution and methyl ethyl ketone to 21-60deg.C, and stirring to deposit (Ba, Ti) composite alkoxide homogeneously over the mixed solution; adding 10vol.% of ethanol and 0.03-0.30mol/L of water; stirring to form nuclei and grow nuclei at room temperature within 1hr.; and centrifuging and drying at 200deg.C.
