<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cooking polished rice, free from rice bran odor without washing polished rice and capable of wholly and uniformly being cooked, and to provide a rice-cooking set used for the cooking method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for cooking the polished rice comprises carrying out cooking by applying water and heat to the polished rice. In the cooking method, cooking is carried out in a state in which the polished rice is covered with a cooking sheet composed of a nonwoven fabric without carrying out washing of the polished rice.
