NRD GUIDE MODE SUPPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress the LSE parasitic mode by a simple constitution, and advance the miniaturization and lightening.

SOLUTION: An NRD guide for propagating electromagnetic waves by means of a dielectric line 1 inserted between a pair of parallel conductor plates with a space of less than 1/2 wavelength has a metal 3 disposed near the dielectric line 1 to suppress the LSE mode. The metal 3 may have any shape such as disc, elliptic disc or square column. The metal 3 is held at equal distances d along the dielectric line 1, and the distance d may be changed to control the phase constant difference.
