PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive indication of energization easy to see the energization state of a heating section, and allowing a variety of designs to be employable. SOLUTION: This cooker comprises a top plate 2 provided on the top surface of a main body 1, and the heating section 4 provided inside the main body 1 for heating a load placed on the top plate 2. A transparent window 15 is provided in the top plate 2 at a location substantially above the heating section 4. A plate 17 seeable through the transparent window 15 and having a pattern 19 corresponding to the window 15 is rotatably provided below the top plate 2. The plate 17 constantly rotates while the heating section 4 is energized, thereby causing changes of the pattern 19 viewable through the window 15.
