PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of easily visually recognizing a transition from an optical zoom operation state where recording image quality is not degraded, to an electronic zoom operation state where the magnification of recording images can be increased but the recording image quality is degraded. SOLUTION: The camera is provided with: a first display means provided with a first display area for visually recognizing a first zoom magnification when an optical zoom means is operated, a second display area for visually recognizing a second zoom magnification when an electronic zoom means is operated, a boundary visual recognition index for visually recognizing the boundary of the first display area and the second display area, and a magnification visual recognition index for visually recognizing the zoom magnification set by the optical zoom means or the electronic zoom means; and a second display means for displaying the zoom magnification relating to the electronic zoom means by a digital value when the magnification visual recognition index is in the second display area.
