PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a label at an appropriate position and direction, which is affixed to a workpiece such as a packaged body packaging a photosensitive material. SOLUTION: A printing apparatus 200 reads an image of a packaged body 24 transferred on a conveyor 142 with a scanner 204, and sets a printing position and the inclination of the image to be printed based on the position and inclination of a label 156 extracted from the image. Then, when the packaged body reaches the position facing a laser marker 202, the label is irradiated with laser beam, while being scanned, so as to attain a set position and inclination to perform a predetermined printing on the label.
