PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removable portable terminal adapter compatible with a variety of functions, with keeping it compact and light. SOLUTION: A portable terminal adapter 50 having an additional function component 70 mounted inside a cover detachably mounted on a portable telephone, a portable terminal and a method of selecting and mounting the portable terminal adapter, are provided. A portable terminal adapter detachably mountable on a portable terminal on which any of a plurality of portable terminal adapters is mountable, each comprising a memory card, a tuner circuit module, a radio communication apparatus circuit module, an antenna, a camera module, a speaker, a suction pad, a grip, a photo pasting part; a game box, and a connector for fixing a holder for mounting an additional function component or electrically connecting with the additional function component, a portable terminal; and a method of selectively mounting the portable terminal; are obtained.
