RADIO TRANSMITTER, AND METHOD OF DETERMINING TRANSMISSION RATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a communication equipment of a transmitted party from erroneously receiving data transmitted by a radio transmitter even when the radio transmitter erroneously has received a transmission rate request transmitted by the communication equipment of the transmitted party. SOLUTION: Base station equipment (the radio transmitter) transmits data by radio to a mobile terminal device (the communication equipment of the transmitted party). The mobile terminal device which has received this radio signal determines information (CQI) on a down transmission rate receivable with its own equipment (ST1010) based on reception quality such as CIR (carrier to interference ratio) and transmits it to the base station equipment. The base station equipment extracts a CQI (channel quality indicator) value from the received radio signal and obtains the likelihood of the received data (ST1020) and, on the basis of this likelihood, corrects the CQI value (ST1030).
