PURPOSE: A voice recorder having a key state sensing function is provided to identify states of a start key and an end key by a difference between time intervals at 'high' sections of a motor enable signal, thereby sensing a key state without producing a sound and enabling only a user to recognize a recording process. CONSTITUTION: A microphone(220) converts a voice into an electric signal. A signal processor(230) receives an output signal of the microphone(220), and performs a signal handling process. A CPU(210) controls each circuit block. A key operator(240) inputs a key signal to the CPU(210). A memory(250) receives voice data from the CPU(210) to store the data, or transmits stored voice data to the CPU(210). A display(260) displays a current state of a voice recorder system. An output portion(270) outputs the voice data. A key state sensing device(280) receives a motor enable signal(SMOE), and operates a motor.
