PURPOSE: A method for according information of a server and a client terminal and a system therefor are provided to always accord contents stored in a client terminal and a server, so that a user can quickly confirm whether a file is changed without moving the ongoing file by using another storage medium. CONSTITUTION: A user accesses a server through a client terminal(341). A server index information receiver of the terminal receives server index information(342). A selection file executing unit receives a transmitted file to execute the file(343). If contents of the file are changed(344), a client index information generator generates client index information(345). An index information comparator compares the server index information with the client index information to detect the changed contents(347). A file transmitter transmits the changed file to the server(348). A file receiver of the server receives the changed file(303), and stores the changed file(304). A server index information changing unit modifies the server index information(305).
