<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a large amount of glucose nucleotide on an industrial scale at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The method for the production of Glc nucleotide at least contains the step of contacting the Gal nucleotide with (A) a protein containing a specific amino acid sequence or (B) a protein containing a specific amino acid sequence corresponding to the amino acid sequence of the protein (A) wherein one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted, inserted or dislocated and having an activity to convert UDP-Gal to UDP-Glc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
