<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a health food or beverage having excellent functionalities such as an antiobestic property. <P>SOLUTION: The functional health food or beverage comprises lees of rice wine and rice bran, and as necessary, further, a sweetener such as sugar, honey bee, starch syrup, an acidulant such as lactic acid, tartaric acid or gluconic acid, a flavoring agent, a coloring agent and various components such as common salt, starch, ginger and water. The health food or beverage is not directly used only for drinking or eating, but can be used also as a foodstuff for food products and beverage products and is effective for suppression of obesity, improvement of blood lipid, vasodepressor and suppression of amnesia and has no problem on safety.
