<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect easily and accurately dirt extending in the conveyance direction and deficiency of a pattern generated on a printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: This printed matter inspection device 10 is equipped with a camera 11 for imaging the pattern 2 on the printed matter 1, 1a, an image processing part 12 for detecting the dirt and the deficiency of the pattern 2 based on an inspection image acquired by binarization of an image from the camera 11, and an alarm device 13 for sounding an alarm based on the detection result from the image processing part 12. Binarized standard image information relative to nondefective printed matter 1a is included in the image processing part 12 among them. The image processing part 12 determines the dirt on the printed matter when the number of colored pixels of the inspection image is over the maximum value, and determines the deficiency of the pattern 2 when the number is below the minimum value, based on the maximum value and the minimum value of the number of colored pixels of each row of pixels in the standard image information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
