<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track ball device which is arranged at the input operation part of each various electronic apparatuses and in which a rotational operation force necessary for sphere rotation or the interval or strength of a click touch can be controlled and a stable touch in rotation can be acquired. <P>SOLUTION: A sphere 31 including a magnetic material and supported by a supporting member 32 is positioned in the path of a magnetic force line generated by a first electromagnet 33, and a friction force between the sphere 31 and the supporting member 32 is changed by the sucking force of the magnetic force so that a rotational operation force necessary for the sphere 31 can be changed. Also, the face-shaped part 34A of the first electromagnet 33 is arranged so as to face the surface of the sphere 31. Thus, when the first electromagnet 33 is in operation, magnetic flux leakage can be reduced, the magnetic force can be efficiently made to act on the sphere 31, and the stable operation touch can be acquired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
