PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a stator coil for rotating electric machine, capable of obtaining a long-service stator coil which can secure good electro-mechanical characteristics for a long term by improving influences from partial discharge of the stator coil formed by disposing a semi-conductive tape on a mica insulation layer. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the stator coil for rotating electric machine, a main insulation layer 1c is formed by winding a mica tape 3 around the coil 1 of which the conductor 1d in a prescribed shape, a semi-conductive layer 1a is formed by winding the semi-conductive tape. For curing an epoxy-based impregnated resin, a film tape with a die separation effect is wound, a vacuum drying and vacuum pressurized impregnation processes are carried out, the coil in which the main insulation layer 1c and the semi-conductive layer 1a are formed is heated and cured, then the die separation type film tape is removed, and an electrolysis relaxation layer 1b is formed out of a high resistance material with an end portion of the semi-conductive layer 1a formed by the semi-conductive tape contacted, thus performing heating and curing again.
