PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized teleconverter while suppressing the occurrence of a variety of aberrations. SOLUTION: In a teleconverter lens T which is mounted on an object side of a master lens M to increase the focal length, a front group LF of positive refracting power has a junction lens 1C of the positive refracting power with a negative lens 11 and a positive lens 12 joined therein and a positive lens 13, a rear group LR of negative refracting power has a junction lens 2C of the wholly negative refracting power with a positive lens 21 and a negative lens 22 joined therein, and a shape of an air lens formed between the lens 1C and the positive lens 13 in the front group LF is appropriately set.
