PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band tightening member for packaging capable of tightening a box in a cross-form by one tightening member without cutting the band during its tightening operation, capable of facilitating its tightening work, eliminating the waste length of the band and attaining a stabled state of the band after its tightening. SOLUTION: This tightening tool has some features that it has a longitudinal frame (1) and a lateral frame (2); a slant frame (3) has an inclination of 45°in regard to the frames (1), (2); it has insertion holes (4a), (4b), (4c) for use in passing the band (8) which are integrally formed with the tool; holders (5a), (5b) connected by anti-flexible connectors (6a), (6b) are arranged outside the frames (1), (2); and a holder (5c) connected by a connector (6c) connected while being inclined by a minus 45°in regard to the frames (1), (2) is arranged outside the frame (3).
