An electrical socket (10) is disclosed which includes a socket portion (12) for receiving pins of an electrical plug during use so as to transfer electrical power to the plug, and a housing (14) for holding the socket portion and enclosing electrical connections of the socket portion. The socket portion is mounted at a first longitudinal end of the housing and an electrical cord is mountable at a second opposite longitudinal end of the housing. The shape of the housing in a cross-sectional plane passing through the longitudinal ends of the housing is substantially arcuate. |
