PURPOSE: Provided are method and system to detect a flame, to identify whether the flame can cause a fire or not, and to initially extinguish the flame by detecting the accurate flame position if it is a kind of a fire source, besides to fight a fire by means of the nearest sprinkler or watergun when the accurate flame position is detected. CONSTITUTION: The method for fire prevention includes steps of; detecting a flame in all directions and identifying whether the flame can cause a fire or not; detecting the accurate position of the flame detected in the former detecting and identifying step; and extinguishing the flame with aid of the nearest sprinkler to the flame position; whiles the system for fire prevention includes; a sensor(11) for detecting the flame in all directions; a flame detector(56); a flame position scanning detector(12); a first rotation unit(141); a second rotation unit(142); two rotation angle detectors(58); a spray unit(54) of extinguishing agent; and a micro controller for controlling the devices(11,12,54,56,58,141,142).
