The electrical connector comprises of a socket (10) with several grooves for receiving metal pins (16) and with an end connector (12). A fold is provided at the front of the socket and is connected to the grooves. A card (22) has a number of mounting holes (24), and conductors (20) which are electrically connected to the metal pins (16). A base (30) for the socket and the card has a base structure (32) with two horizontal side walls with feedthroughs (38,40). A cap (50) is provided on the base and has positioning holes for the gold pins (26). A plate (60) is provided with front and back pins which match the locations of the feedthroughs.
