<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user's state releasing system capable of improving the reliability of user's states. <P>SOLUTION: A user's state releasing client part 1 in a portable terminal requests a user to input state information at fixed time stored in an input request interval storage part 3 to urge the user to update the state information. When the user's state input request method is used, the user periodically updates his or her own state information which may be often forgotten. Thereby other users referring to the user's state information can acquire highly reliable state information of the user and select a contact means such as an instant message, an electronic mail and a telephone in accordance with the acquired state information.
