<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track ball device enabling an operator to easily take out a ball when removing hardly-removable dust adhered to the ball or changing the ball to the one of a color desired by an operator. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises a substantially hollow hemispherical ball support member 4 for rotatably supporting the ball 2 from under and a ball forcedly separating mechanism 19 for making the ball 2 float from the ball support member 4. The ball forcedly separating mechanism has a push-up member for pushing the ball up and a rotatable driving arm for approaching and separating the push-up member to and from the ball, so that the operator can easily take out the ball. Accordingly, the problem in a conventional track ball device that, since the center of the ball is arranged within a housing, the operator cannot hold the ball well when taking the ball out of the housing, or the taking-out of the ball by the operator cannot be easily performed can be solved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
