PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce the state of an object area in real time in a remote place. SOLUTION: This image generation system 10 comprises a data management device 60 for storing the three-dimensional shape of at least a part of the object area 30, an imaging device 40 for imaging at least a part of the object area 30, and the image generation device 100 for generating an image of the object area 30 by use of the image taken by the imaging device 40 and first shape data. The image generation device 100 generates the image of the object area 30 by use of the first shape data acquired from the data management device 60 and the taken image acquired from the imaging device 40.
