PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capable of stably performing processing for sucking up image data and reducing the power to be supplied from a station to a digital camera. SOLUTION: The camera system is provided with a digital camera capable of using a rechargeable battery, a station for mounting the digital camera, a sucking-up means for sucking up the image data stored in a memory equipped in the digital camera mounted on the station to external equipment, a charging means for charging the rechargeable battery, and a control means for performing control so as not to simultaneously execute the processing of the image data sucking-up by the sucking-up means and the charging processing of the rechargeable battery by the charging means.
