SILVER VITREOUS ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT HAVING EXCELLENT ANTIMICROBIAL EFFECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vitreous antimicrobial agent exhibiting high antimicrobial properties and having excellent discoloration, warm water resistances, etc., when formulated in various resins and easily producible in the production amount on a commercial level and to provide an antimicrobial resin composition or an antimicrobial product comprising the vitreous antimicrobial agent. SOLUTION: The antimicrobial agent comprises 0.1-2 mass% of Ag2O, 40.5-49 mass% of ZnO, 6-9.5 mass% of SiO2, 30.5-39.5 mass% of B2O3, 2-10 mass% of an alkaline earth metal oxide and 6-7.5 mass% of Na2O. Furthermore,≤5 mass% of CeO2may be contained therein. The antimicrobial resin composition or the antimicrobial product comprises the vitreous antimicrobial agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
