PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital item adaptation (DIA) for especially a client function and negotiation of user preference between peers in activities in electronic commerce environment, related to digital contents adaptation. SOLUTION: A client function, user preference, and other useful information for digital contents adaptation can be packed in a general DIA descriptive massage (DIADM). Such DIADM like this can be transmitted inside, or above other protocol (base protocol) using a defined general rule by an interoperation method.
