PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing apparatus and reproduction output control method in which a function of reproduction output control is realized for removing the same data as or data similar to a data pattern preset as a target to inhibit a reproduction output from digital data of a target to be reproduced. SOLUTION: In the data reproducing apparatus for reproducing AV digital data, with respect to the digital data of the target to be reproduced, a CPU 20 judges presence/non-presence of the inhibition target data pattern stored in a database 22 beforehand.
