<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse laser drilling method to drill a chamfered hole in a surgical needle by using single laser beams. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for drilling a hole by laser beams in a surgical needle 190, a diode pulsed laser to produce laser beams 360 consisting of a train of high energy pulses is used.
