PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical anisotropic material for blue light formed by a polymer liquid crystal having high durability against blue light and to provide a polymerizable liquid crystal composition for obtaining this material.

SOLUTION: The optical anisotropic material for blue light consists of the polymer liquid crystal obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable liquid crystal composition which contains at least one polymerizable liquid crystalline compound having a saturated carbocyclic ring or a saturated heterocyclic ring and which does not contain a compound having -Ph-CO- (wherein Ph indicates a 1,4-phenylene group).
