<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent appearance of a noise bar in an area in which caption is displayed, at the time of fast forwarding reproduction. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with: a noise bar position detecting means 7 detecting a position in the vertical direction of the noise bar appearing in a reproduction video signal 25 at the time of specific reproduction on the basis of the number of horizontal synchronizing signals appearing in the reproduction video signal in a divided vertical period which is obtained by dividing one vertical scanning period divided; and a tracking adjusting means 6 varying tracking quantity until the noise bar position detecting means 7 indicates that a noise bar does not appear in the specific vertical period when the noise bar position detecting means 7 indicates that a noise bar appears in the specific vertical period being a divided vertical period corresponding to a range near the lower end part of a screen at the time of specific reproduction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
