<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additional utilization field of a telomere length-shortening phenomenon accompanied by cell division, and to surely produce a proper state cultured tissue from the view point of the life of the cultured tissue to surely provide the cultured tissue having a commodity shape. <P>SOLUTION: This method for making a cultured tissue comprises measuring the telomere length of a specific cell constituting the cultured tissue, determining the passage limit number of the cultured tissue on the basis of the measurement result, repeating the passage until to reach the passage limit number, and stopping the passage, when the passage reaches the passage limit number, thus forming the cell sheet. The method for evaluating the culture tissue comprises measuring the telomere length of the specific cell constituting the cultured tissue and then evaluating the suitability of the cultured tissue at a specific time on the basis of the measured telomere length, for example, evaluating whether the cell is an immortalized cell or not.
