<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a control device capable of performing the shifting without interrupting the motive power, and reducing the energy loss of a transmission with respect to a shifting element in a stepped automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: This control method of the shifting element in the stepped automatic transmission, adjusts the transmitting capacity of a fictional connecting element 2 in connecting the shifting element 1, and engages an engagement connecting element 3 when the engagement connecting element 3 is in a synchronous state. During the engagement of the engagement connecting element 3, the transmitting capacity of the frictional connecting element 2 is decreased, and when the blocking requirement of at least one shifting element 1 exists, the transmitting capacity of the frictional connecting element 2 is increased under the load to guide the power flux guided through the engagement connecting element 3 engaged with the shifting element 1 through the frictional connecting element 2 in releasing the engagement connecting element 3, before the engagement connecting element 3 is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
