PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifter for care used for riding on and off a wheelchair applicable to an objective vehicle irrespective of the size of the vehicle and the shape of an opening part, usable for general purposes, and having excellent space-saving property. SOLUTION: This lifter for care comprises a pair of slide rails 2 and 2' fixed to a vehicle body floor surface 1a parallel with each other at specified intervals, front and rear sliders 3 and 3' slidably installed along the slide rails, upright guide rails 5 and 5' installed on the front and rear sliders in the vertical direction, upper and lower sliders 6 and 6' slidably installed along the upright guide rails, and a platform 9 rotatably pivoted at the tips of arms 8 and 8' fixed to the upper and lower sliders and lifted interlockingly with the sliding operation of the upper and lower sliders. The pair of upper and lower sliders 6 and 6' are connected to each other through a wire 11a passed between the bottom parts of the front and rear sliders 3 and 3' and the vehicle body floor surface 1a, and the pair of upper and lower sliders are lifted by a drive means 12 in association with each other.
