METHOD FOR PURIFYING LAKE OR THE LIKE, AND PURIFYING SYSTEM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a lake or the like where eutrophication caused by contaminants such as phosphorus and nitrogen in a purifying region such as a lake can be suppressed while attaining the minimization of equipment cost, an installation space and driving energy, and to provide a system for purifying the lake or the like.

SOLUTION: The purifying method comprises: a first purifying stage where part of water flowing from a river or the like into a closed water region 2 such as a lake is taken, and the water is physicochemically treated to mainly remove phosphorus; and a second purifying stage where the treated water treated in the first purifying stage is introduced into a purifying region 6 formed by partitioning the closed water region 2 in a depth direction and the treated water is subjected to biological treatment in the inside of the purifying region 6 to mainly remove nitrogen.
