<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring communication system in which communication fee of e-mail can be reduced, transmission of a reply mail is facilitated, and the cost can be reduced by eliminating the memory area for receiving and storing reply mails on the data collector side thereby suppressing the sorting of command code string and the developing volume of processing software. <P>SOLUTION: The data collector makes a decision whether an e-mail of data being transmitted is present or not at step S1, and connects with the destination provider if the answer is Yes. A decision is then made whether a reply (receiving) mail is present or not at step S3, and a processing for deleting the reply (receiving) mail of a POP3 server is effected at step S4 if the answer is Yes. Subsequently, a processing for stopping "repetitive mail" is effected at step S5.
