<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio apparatus by which a currently set operation mode (working mode) is made visually recognizable. <P>SOLUTION: A main system 11, which has a control section 48 for setting a main-side operation mode or a sub-side operation mode in a dual mode, comprises a display information memory 38F for storing display information on contents displayed by a front-side operation section 13 according to the main-side operation mode or the sub-side operation mode, and a display control section 47 which reads the display information from the display information memory according to the operation mode and controls the contents displayed by the front-side operation section 13 according to the display information when the main-side operation mode or the sub-side operation mode is set. Therefore, even when a working mode, e.g., an operation mode is set, contents corresponding to the operation mode are displayed. For example, the color of backlight is changed on a display section.
