<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overprinting registering method for a rotary press, which enables registering in a short period of time and can reduce the occurrence of paper waste. <P>SOLUTION: In a printing machine, feed rollers are provided on the web feeding mechanism side of a printing unit for doing overprinting and on the web winding mechanism side thereof, respectively. When a register mark detected by a register mark detecting means 29 has to be adjusted by prescribed register or above in initial registering and registering during printing, an impression cylinder of the printing unit is thrown off from a plate cylinder by an impression cylinder throwing-on/off device 41. After register correction using a plate-cylinder phase shift, the impression cylinder is thrown on to the plate cylinder so that the overprinting can be done. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
